The Derbyshire Dales & The Peak District National Park

The surrounding area is steeped in History. The Derwent Valley Mills sites, including the famous Arkwright and Masson Mills are a short walk away, which house museums and factory shopping outlets. We are a thirty minutes drive away from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, which have been used in the feature films "Pride and Prejudice" and "Jane Eyre" and "The other Boleyn Girl".

For our more energetic guests there are plenty of footpaths and walks in the immediate area, rock climbing, pot holing and caving close by in the many limestone Dales. Also, canoeing and sailing on the River Derwent and Carsington Water. For cyclists there are the spectacular High Peak and Tissington Trials. Plus, numerous other outdoor pursuits such as pony trekking, fishing and golf are nearby. Alternatively, just find the time to put your feet up and enjoy all the natural beauty of the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park.
